Bookclub: Social Media effects to our Kids

Of course, both friends and critics agree that it is not good for children to spend too much time on smartphones. But once you have read this book and absorbed the solid arguments, you cannot help but conclude that it is much more than that.

The screen generation is growing up significantly differently (read: anxiously), which in the long term is disastrous not only for the individual child or teenager; if we do nothing, an entire generation could be lost.

Naturally, Boekhandel Riemer Groningen hears things like “it won’t be that bad” and “my child still plays outside sometimes.” Fortunately, there are also bright spots (most schools are now smartphone-free) and the tide can be partially turned. But lasting measures are needed, also at home.

Tonight, Boekhandel Riemer Groningen will discuss this book, review its recommendations, and debate the (im)possibilities of the proposed solutions. Naturally, the home and school situations of (your) children are also important topics for discussion. And maybe we can help each other. You are warmly welcome!
