COME ON, OBLIVION takes you through memories captured in a musical soundtrack. Tunes that play forever in your mind and movements you never forget. As soon as the music starts, the body follows automatically; it still remembers the steps exactly.

Bouncing off the wall of the past, searching for stories and music from back then. ‘Lest we forget’ we commemorate together with Theater Na de Dam. From the present, we reflect on what once was. The performers of De Noorderlingen and musicians of Noordpool Troupe, directed by Mirthe Labree, create a score for the future. Fighting against oblivion.

After the premiere at the Martinikerk on May 4, as part of Theater Na de Dam, the young seventeen-member ensemble specially assembled for this production will take COME ON, OBLIVION from the city to the countryside with an extended 60-minute program. De Noorderlingen Production Group sings – accompanied by the Noordpool Troupe. Prepare yourself for a musical journey through time; from The Andrew Sisters to Brel and Wende.

The performance on May 4 is free to attend and will take place immediately following the commemoration at 8:00 PM. You are expected at 9:00 PM. No reservation is required.
