Noorderlicht Photo Exhibition

ESNS Photo is a new initiative in which Noorderlicht and ESNS join forces for an annual encounter between music and photography. For the first edition, three northern photographers have been invited to capture images as if they are listening: Nick Helderman, Niels Knelis Meijer, and Jantina Talsma.
From January 14 to 17, 2026, you can experience the exhibition at Galerie Noorderlicht, Akerkhof 12 in Groningen. The opening is on January 14 at 3:00 PM, followed by a farewell reception for Wim Melis at 5:00 PM. Come and see, listen, and feel – be inspired by the dialogue between image and sound.
