Heavy garage punk mayhem

Now this is the kind of thing that really gets my musical heart racing. Two bands in the Kelderbar using all the misery in the world as fuel for a maniacal garage punk machine. Eyesores were recently featured on the phenomenal 'Uitholling Bovenlangs' compilation, and honestly, that should tell you enough. Great songs buried under a heap of noise—exactly what The Proto's did even more recently in our basement.

Alongside Eyesores, we find Rotzorg on the lineup, the very first band in the world to make me rewind a song eight times just to figure out whether they’re singing ‘nothing’ or ‘Nick’ in response to the question 'What is Nick without Simon?' Brilliant. Rotzorg might lean a bit more toward hard rock, metal, and hardcore than garage punk—but hey, who’s keeping track. Let’s just call it Nederpunk, I guess.

This is exactly the kind of night the builders of the Kelderbar had in mind when they hammered this place out of the ground (or into it?) back in the 13th century. It’s going to be wild, and as long as we don’t break everything, everything can break on this June 21. | Ralf
