Tight film adaptation of the controversial 1976 trial surrounding French revolutionary and criminal Pierre Goldman addresses more than just the question of guilt.

The life story of the French communist, guerrilla and criminal Pierre Goldman seems perfect for a biographical film. Director Cédric Kahn limited himself to a reconstruction of the legendary 1976 court case, in which verbal fireworks provide spectacle. Kahn counters Goldman's verbal violence with an unemphatic but steady direction, which the court itself apparently lacked at the time. 

Le procés Goldman was the opening film of the Quinzaine des cinéastes section at the Cannes Film Festival. The film received several nominations and awards, especially for lead actor Arieh Worthalter.
