After a triumphant year of live shows in 2025—where they conquered stages including the Pinkpop mainstage—The Boxer Rebellion return to a selection of venues with the release of The Second I’m Asleep on 27 March 2026, an album that captures the band in full bloom.

These ten tracks explore the emotional landscapes of life: moments of clarity amid chaos, letting go of old ghosts, and the art of understanding ourselves in a rapidly changing world. Recorded during an intense creative period, the sessions were built on a clear challenge: prioritising instinct over analysis and creating music with energy, spontaneity, and honesty. Nathan Nicholson, Adam Harrison, Piers Hewitt, and Andrew Smith have delivered a musical statement that is vital, unfiltered, and deeply human.

Nicholson’s iconic voice weaves compelling melodies through the precise and powerful sonic landscapes of the band, resulting in an album full of colour and grace. A great deal of time and energy was devoted to ensuring the sound of the album is as meaningful as its message. To achieve this, the band enlisted top engineers Rees Broomfield, Billy Bush, and Kevin Grainger, resulting in a record that sounds monumental—whether you listen in the car or on high-end speakers.

With their seventh album, they add a new chapter to an extraordinary journey—one that has taken them across the globe, into film and television, and earned them a dedicated international fanbase. The Second I’m Asleep is not only a homecoming for The Boxer Rebellion but also an evolution.
