Psychedelic flamenco rockabilly

When I think of Spain, I think of Zorro. Of mustaches and bulls. Of red cloths and a burning sun. When I think of Spain, I think of stirring flamenco. But what if, instead of an acoustic guitar, we use a Fender Jaguar? And what if we add a drummer? Well, then you get something like Yo Diablo. The duo from Valencia mainly plays instrumental (but sometimes with minimal vocals) psychedelic flamenco on electric guitars. And they’re good at it! I’ve had the chance to witness them live once at Plato during ESNS, and I’m proud to say they’re coming to the basement on May 24! If you’re into wailing guitars like SLIFT or Bo Ningen, then Yo Diablo will win you over too. Just with a Spanish twist. See you there! | YORKO
