Outfits change, bodies move, and time blurs – through an endless stream of costume changes, two performers navigate landscapes, streets, and theatres in a hypnotic continuous performance. From a simple white shirt to an extravagant glitter dress, familiar clothing combinations transform into new archetypes. What do we communicate with this second skin? This physical performance immerses you in a ritual of radical transformation.
Clothing shapes who we are, who we want to be, and sometimes who we must be. Do we wear clothes, or do clothes wear us? As hundreds of outfits pass by in rhythm with live music, the performance explores the human tendency to label, categorize, and judge. Catwalk Continuüm is the result of Zwermers’ years of research into clothing and the fluid nature of identity. A tribute to the colorful human — and a healthy antidote to boxes and confining labels.
