vanBeresteyn (Veendam)
vanBeresteyn has been the cultural heart of Veendam since its opening in 2004. This cultural center hosts a varied program each year for around 20,000 visitors, including theatre, music, cabaret, and festivals for all ages. The auditorium seats approximately 350 people and is fully wheelchair accessible, with free hearing assistance equipment available.
vanBeresteyn is connected to the Veenkoloniaal Museum and the public library, offering a wide range of cultural and educational activities.
Special seasonal presentations, such as the 20th anniversary season (2024–2025), feature well-known Dutch performers like Pieter Derks, Veldhuis & Kemper, Henry van Loon, and Javier Guzman.
