Boyd began writing to cope with his struggle with alcohol addiction and gradually found a new direction. His latest album Coming Undone is a sober and powerful work, with echoes of Mark Lanegan and Arlo McKinley. Miller impresses with his strong voice and songs rooted in the tradition of John Prine and Merle Haggard. The two musicians have been friends for years, share the stage, sing each other’s songs, and are both working on new albums.
