Joachim Challem – New Album Concert

The Dutch pianist and composer Joachim Challem released his first EPs, Santosha and Aparighra, in 2022. They were a great success, entering the classical charts at number one. His honest and personal piano pieces touch many listeners. Challem now returns to the Lutheran Church with a new show in which he will perform music from his brand-new album.

Constantly on a journey of exploration, Challem’s music resonates with many because of its honesty; it feels as though his compositions can be read like a diary. His emotions, voice, movement and reactions are conveyed through his piano. Challem began piano lessons at the age of eight. After years of study, he realised that life is about more than just music. He believes that nature is the greatest source of inspiration for all the complex thoughts a person can have. Having spent most of his life in the unknown mountains of northern Spain searching for a place to call home, in his new album he travels into the unknown, writing about his youth, the present and the future.
