For more than 50 years, Japanese animator and director Hayao Miyazaki has enchanted the world with films like Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and The Boy and the Heron. His films may be set in worlds of fantasy, yet almost without exception they contain autobiographical elements and reflect society.
