Their unique sound combines gospel with soul, blues, jazz, and afrobeat, earning the band an Edison Award nomination in 2019. Fast forward a few years and a pandemic later, and we know that Michelle David & The True-tones have not been idle. In 2022, they released a new album called ‘Truth & Soul’. On this album, you can hear how the quartet has further expanded their musical horizon. The album features dreamy indie soul with a strong 1970s vibe mixed with Brazilian flavors and African rhythms.
