Dr. W.S. (Ward) Rauws is an Associate Professor in Spatial Planning at the University of Groningen. His research interests include adaptive planning and governance, urban and peri-urban transformations, neighborhood renewal, and self-organization and complexity science. As the chair of AESOP's thematic group Planning & Complexity, he is embedded in an active European network of planning scholars.
