With a 10-member line-up comprising four horns, a five-member rhythm section & MC, the ensemble combines danceable energetic rhythms to appeal to the body and the emotional depth of jazz to appeal to the ear. Led by composer Ko Kunst and tenor saxophonist Max van Houtum, the ensemble independently released their debut album in November 2023 - the compositions on this record draw inspiration from afrobeat and funk grooves, afro-Cuban music & reggae & dub aesthetics.
