Christian Kjellvander returns to the Netherlands after his acclaimed albums About Love and Loving Again and Hold Your Love Still. The Swedish sinter-songwriter will come to the A-Theater on the 18th of March with his new album Ex Voto / The Silent Love.

The album is the final piece in a trilogy where Kjellvander researches love in her tender, conflicuting and spiritual forms. Originally this album was meant to have a subdued country sound, but it quickly grew into something bigger, without losing its tender core.

Kjellvander translates the emotional layers to a compelling experiencing live. His deep bariton, carried by subtle instrumentations of guitar, bassclarinet, cornet, rhodes and percussion, fills the room with warmth and vulnerability.

His album was recorded in a old summercottage at the Swedisch coast and breathes the same intimacy which will be palpable during his concert. From the haunting quiet in Love of Another to the compelling Deathrider, he takes his audience on a journey through love, loss and resignation.
