Progressive metal and sludge artisans
Dvne is a five-piece progressive metalband from Edinburgh, Scotland. Founded in 2013 the band was initially called Dune in reference to Frank Herbert’s masterpiece of the same name; a statement of the band’s mutual obsession with sci-fi and fantasy in all forms, the inspiration from which has continued to influence their music to this day. Dvne’s latest album, Voidkind, was recorded with the aim of capturing the band’s live sound as faithfully as possible, without any unnecessary embellishments that couldn’t be replicated in a live performance.
