Autumn Fair in Fortress Bourtange

Kick off autumn in Bourtange at the annual Autumn Fair inside the fortress on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September. Stalls will be set up on the Market Square, the Brouwhuisplein, and around the fortress windmill.

The market features a wide variety for indoors and outdoors—everything you’d expect from an autumn fair to bring that cosy atmosphere home: decorations, garden furniture, antiques, brocante, jams and chutneys, clothing and much more.

All accompanied by live music on the Market Square throughout both days.

All museums in the fortress are open during the fair so you can fully experience its history. If you purchase a museum ticket, there is no additional charge for visiting the Autumn Fair.
