MELLE
De Oosterpoort
Trompsingel 27, 9724 DA GroningenAfter previous sold-out club tours, Melle returns to Dutch stages this spring with his new album, Before I Lose It. The Leiden-based multi-instrumentalist crafts warm, narrative indie pop focused on melancholy and personal observations. During his live shows, he plays an impressive array of instruments (from stylophone and hammered dulcimer to his signature cigar box guitar), bringing his songs to life time and time again. The combination of his clear voice and unique sound makes him a standout name on the Dutch pop scene.
In recent years, Melle has played dozens of shows supporting acts including Douwe Bob, who called him “the best singer in the Netherlands.” He now confidently forges his own path. On Before I Lose It, he candidly reflects on themes of identity, imperfection, and emotional surrender. The album reveals a musician who searches and finds, daring to embrace the vulnerability of humanity. His performances reflect that search; sincere, multi-layered, and always musically surprising.
