Yalla Miku was set up by Bongo Joe founder, Beirut-born Cyril Yeterian (ufo-banjo, electric guitar, vocals), and his Cyril Cyril duo bandmate Cyril Bondi (drums and vocals). Having teamed up with minimalist krautrock-post-disco duo Hyperculte, the final pieces of the Yalla Miku puzzle were added with contributions from and collaborations with various migrant musicians from Africa, all of whom encountered difficult and dangerous journeys to get to Switzerland. New album 2 is out November 7, 2025 on Bongo Joe.
