From temple to theatre

Under the artistic direction of Yusaku Mochizuki, YOAH was born from a moment of reflection. Mochizuki draws inspiration from legendary Japanese landmarks such as the Ōsawa Pond (大沢池) and Daikaku-ji Temple (大覚寺) in Kyoto. The moon—central in Japanese culture—symbolises renewal and hope, and each act revolves around this theme. Contortionists, trapeze artists, diabolo performers and many others guide you into a timeless Japanese realm wrapped in the mystical universe of YOAH.
