British theater maker and audience favorite Ant Hampton returns to Noorderzon with his latest work Borderline Visible. With a book and headphones, dive into a 77-minute experience about how language, history and people are connected across Europe. Hampton's collection of stories meanders back and forth between his journey from Lausanne to Izmir. 

Borderline Visible slowly and lovingly ties together the key moments of this journey; voices and earthquakes, Jewish diasporas, forced displacement, slumps and dementia, swifts and swallows, T.S. Eliot's “The Waste Land” and a chilling insight into the atrocities on the eastern edge of Europe funded from the center. As tensions around immigration politics and border issues continue to rise, this comfortably penetrating and poetic diary by our beloved “DIY theater” artist is more relevant than ever.
