Haddingestraat 23, 9711 KC GroningenThe Utrecht-based bluegrass quartet has been touring the world since the late 1980s, and this autumn they will celebrate their anniversary in Groningen. From the streets of Utrecht to stages in Nashville, Austin, and New York, the Blue Grass Boogiemen have been showcasing for 35 years how American roots music can also come from the Netherlands. The band has performed at festivals such as Lowlands, Into The Great Wide Open, and North Sea Jazz, and collaborated with artists including Tim Knol and Chris Hillman. Their shows are known for virtuosic playing, close harmony, and a hefty dose of energy. Authentic, yet always with their own unique twist.
