Following the success of the Fairuz coffee morning during MENA is Here, De Wijk De Wereld now presents DWDW Invites: a recurring morning program in an intimate setting at the Stadsschouwburg featuring a mix of music, theatre, poetry, exhibitions, and snacks. Each edition, De Wijk De Wereld invites artists with roots outside the Netherlands—often undiscovered talents who deserve a wider audience. This second edition on Wednesday, May 21 takes place during MENA and will focus on artists from this region.

The main guest this edition is Iranian composer and singer Sanam Tahmasebi. Two years ago, she left a deep impression with her remarkable voice during MENA. Together with musician and composer Milad Dehghan, she will take you on a journey through the Middle East with various musical styles. Iranian musician Sadaf will also perform piano pieces from her album Thousands of Times. The music is based on her personal memories and emotions. Join us this morning at the Stadsschouwburg for a lovely cup of coffee or tea and Arabic treats, and enjoy the beautiful music of Sanam.
