Westerhaven 67, 9718 AC GroningenNusantara Beat is a six-piece psych-folk band from Amsterdam giving Indonesia's musical heritage a fresh, contemporary twist. Six young musicians of Indonesian descent pay tribute to the archipelago's rich musical traditions, effortlessly blending their inspirations from Indonesian pop, folk, with traditional styles like keroncong and dangdut with elements of surf rock, soul, and garage. The result is a hypnotic mix of tropical melancholy and irresistible rhythms—as rootsy as they are rebellious.
