Babeth Fonchie Fotchind is a poet and writer who regularly performs at stages and festivals. Her work has been published in various magazines and journals, including Kluger Hans, De Revisor, De Groene Amsterdammer, DW B, De Gids, ELLE magazine, and Lilith Mag.

She was selected for the writing residency of deBuren and the Slow Writing Lab of the Dutch Foundation for Literature, and was named Next Talent To Watch by VOGUE. She has been nominated for the Harpers Bazaar Women of the Year Award and recognized as a literary talent by the Volkskrant. Her poetry collection "Plooi" was published in June 2022 by Uitgeverij De Geus and received rave reviews. Currently, she is working on her debut novel and her second poetry collection.
