Subroutine Records turns 20 and celebrates with three bands that perfectly capture what the label has stood for since 2005: raw energy, creative freedom, and guitar music with a distinct voice.
Free Dust kicks off the night with punchy songs rooted in garage, post-punk and psychedelia. Bouncy rhythms, sharp hooks and echoing organ lines shape their debut Dust Free (2025), a no-frills record full of detail. A Fungus takes a different route with an idiosyncratic mix of math rock, post-hardcore and indie. Their 2022 album It Already Does That is packed with repetitive riffs, sudden turns and melodic bursts of noise. SØWT closes the night with intense noise rock where post-punk and grunge collide. On Is This The Hard Part? (2025), grief and rage are transformed into raw beauty, music that confronts and sticks.
