Bu Shea was a curator at Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons (Utrecht, 2017-2022) and co-curator of Barbara Hammer: Evidentiary Bodies at Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art (New York, 2017). Bu Shea holds an MA from the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College (Annandale-on-Hudson, 2016).

About the Resort

The resort investigates the behavior of an art initiative and seeks new paths, questioning the old and making suggestions. It tests how the arts stand firm in environments where they do not yet have a fixed position, choosing both monumental architecture and the fringes where the (previous) function of the environment plays an important role. The resort seeks wildcards: unusual combinations of artists and environments where the outcomes are uncertain. Through its episodes, the resort aims to provide an escape from daily existence, telling the story of art, misunderstanding, prosperity, ambiance, and champagne.
