Cooking workshop and meal: Het Ziltepad!

Join an afternoon of cooking with regional ingredients under the guidance of professional chefs. To help develop Het Ziltepad further, the Groninger Kerken Foundation and the Alde Fryske Tsjerken Foundation are looking for enthusiastic home cooks in Groningen and Friesland. Do you live in or around Hornhuizen, Vierhuizen, Pieterburen, Usquert, Uithuizermeeden, Losdorp, Eastrum, Holwert, Hegebeintum, Hijum, Sint Jacobiparochi, Peins or Zurich—or do you run a B&B nearby—then we’d love to hear from you.

Het Ziltepad is a long-distance walking route connecting churches along the Wadden coast. It ties cultural heritage to the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea, the unique landscape, the villages and the local community. As amenities can be scarce in this region, we’re calling on the hospitality of residents and B&B owners willing to cook for walkers. The cooking workshop runs from 13:00 to 17:30 at Wongema. Afterwards, we’ll sit down together to enjoy the meal we’ve prepared.
