The Dokwerk Saxophone Quartet – one of the four finalists of Dutch Classical Talent – brings a program in which inner peace and connectedness are the leitmotivs. The saxophonists do so with such diverse works as the minimalist Mishima by Philip Glass, the spiritual The Seven Chakras by Wim Henderickx and the ever-changing 7 Capricci by Jörg Widmann.

The Dokwerk Saxophone Quartet was formed in 2019 by Lisa Schreiber, Jen-Hong Wu, Ileana Termini and Pedro Silva. While studying in Amsterdam with Dutch saxophonist Arno Bornkamp, they found each other in their passion for music. They now represent the Dutch saxophone school with stimulating programs.

Dutch Classical Talent
Dutch Classical Talent is a development program for young Dutch top musicians. Laureates include Tania Kross, Lavinia Meijer, Nora Fischer, the Van Baerle Trio and the Berlage Saxophone Quartet, to name but a few resounding names. Talent alone is not enough to reach the finals; participants must bring distinctive and thought-provoking programs, vision and a bit of guts. The finals will take place on Sunday, May 31 in TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht).
