Eek-A-Mouse, born Ripton Hylton in Kingston, Jamaica, is one of the most distinctive voices in reggae and dancehall history. He broke through in the early 1980s with his quirky style: a mix of singing, toasting, and scatting, full of nonsense words and rhythmic shouts. This made him one of the first—and most recognizable—singjays. His breakthrough came with the single "Wah Do Dem" (1981), which, despite controversy and a radio ban, became an international hit. Iconic tracks like "Ganja Smuggling" and "Anarexol" followed.

In addition to his iconic tracks, Eek-A-Mouse is known for his extravagant stage outfits and theatrical shows. The perfect way to wrap up the Halloween season 👻.
