Berlin, 1942. Hilde joins the resistance group ‘Die Rote Kapelle’. There she meets Hans and, despite the constant danger to her life, is intensely happy for a summer. When the Gestapo arrests members of the group in the autumn, the now pregnant Hilde is one of them. She proves to be a stronger woman than she could ever have imagined and she manages to keep the memory of her beloved alive.
