For the third concert in the Martinikerk’s lunchtime series, promising young organist Elena Fabris will take the stage, offering 45 minutes of music on the church’s majestic main organ. Tickets cost just €2.

Elena began her musical journey on the piano in her hometown of Udine, Italy. She later earned her bachelor’s degree in organ from the J. Tomadini Conservatory, studying with G. Rosato, L. Antoniotti, and P. Pasquini. During her time there, she won first prizes at both the 2019 Premio delle Arti National Organ Competition in Perugia and the 2018 Rino Benedet Competition in Bibione. She went on to complete a Master of Music in organ at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg under Wolfgang Zerer, graduating with top honors in 2023. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in harpsichord at the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen, where she also continues her organ studies with Erwin Wiersinga and Sietze de Vries. Over the years, she has participated in numerous masterclasses with renowned teachers including M. Radulescu, L. Lohmann, J. Essel, and Michel Bouvard. Elena has been active as a church musician since her teens, playing in Udine, Hamburg, and now Groningen, where she performs regularly at both the Martinikerk and the St. Joseph Cathedral.
