Curious about how rehearsals precede the concerts of the North Netherlands Orchestra go? Then come and attend a public rehearsal. Listen how the conductor and the orchestra rehearse part of that week’s concert program. Public rehearsals are free of charge and last from 12:00 to 12:30.

The program features two absolute masterpieces, but the difference couldn’t be greater. Beethoven’s Violin Concerto is a highlight of the classical period. At right angles to this is Stravinsky’s Sacre du Printemps, composed a hundred years later: an explosive, totally un-classical piece that did away with everything one was used to in the concert hall.
