This summer at June 26, 27 and 28 the poetry festival Dichters in de Prinsentuin returns to the scenic Prinsentuin in Groningen. Over 3 days, the garden will come alive with poetry from both well-known voices and fresh new talent, from the Netherlands and beyond.

About the 2025 edition of Dichters in de Prinsentuin

The 2025 theme, Scherven en rafelranden (“Shards and Frayed Edges”), explored how poetry can uncover beauty in brokenness and foster connection:Thought-provoking evening programs, diving into topics like gender roles, queerness, digital life, and poetry’s place in times of war. Readings beneath the garden’s leafy canopies, take part in a translation workshop, or slow down with a guided reading session.
