Teo Planell is a prominent figure from the new Madrid scene in which he co-wrote multiple songs for Ralphie Choo's debut album. His own debut EP is out 20 September on Interscope, showcasing his sophisticated and hypersensitive universe. Musically, the very young Planell is influenced by artists like Rex Orange County, Dijon, or James Blake, though he also flirts with more urban sounds in songs like ‘Talismán’ or invokes the spirit of John Lennon in ‘Julia!’.
