Overheidsinformatie en geschiedvervalsing
Nova
Kruissingel, 9712 XN GroningenIn recent times, we have seen in various Western countries that archives are being manipulated or even disappearing. Sometimes the role of the archivist is heavily influenced by political leaders. How does the government in the Netherlands influence access to or manipulation of (historical) information? And what is the role of archives, archivists, historians and journalism in all this?
René Duursma (coordinator Image and Sound Groninger Archieven) will discuss this with experts in the field of archive and government information. Birte Schohaus is an investigative journalist and knows all about power structures and conflicts of interest and Sebastiaan Vos is a collection manager at Groninger Archieven.
