I definitely don’t get wet dreams from war machines. In fact, lately I’ve been having more nightmares about bombs and grenades than ever before. What I *do* get wet dreams from is good music. And damn, Wet Dream War Machine knows exactly how to make it. With screeching, squealing guitars, tight drums, and abstract roaring. Hardcore as hardcore is meant to be. Their most recent E.P., I.M.A.G.I.N.E., leaves little to the imagination. It shifts from blistering speed to sludge to noise. These Germans certainly know their business. If you’re also getting wet sheets at the thought of this band turning the cellar upside down, I have some extra good news for you. Support will be provided by Rotterdam's finest: M.U.G. By now, they are no strangers to VERA, but for those who haven't witnessed them yet: be on time! If there ever was a Dutch band that can translate the ideal cellar atmosphere into a performance, it’s M.U.G. Hard, harder, hardest. | Yorko
